National Child AbusePrevention Month
City of Kansas City, Missouri
An awareness initiative for National Child Abuse Prevention Month, officially designated by the City of Kansas City, Missouri. Child-serving organizations and members of the community commit to wearing blue on Wear Blue Day to raise awareness for the prevention of child abuse and neglect, taking place annually on the first Friday of April.

Everyone in the community is encouraged to wear blue as a symbol of their commitment to preventing child abuse and supporting children and families in need of help. An annual initiative that takes place on the first Friday of April, which is National Child Abuse Prevention Month.

Local youth take the lead on a community care event each fall to raise awareness for an issue affecting young people in Kansas City.
